DAP Spackling
Packaging Design
Big Idea
That's right, spackling. Can I get a heck yeah?? I am a sucker for classic industrial product design. I love those vintage logos and dated illustrations, back when label designs felt like they were pulled out of a comic book. But these days, many of these industrial products suffer from information overload and poor visual hierarchy. How does a product stand apart in an information-heavy, homogenous segment?
I aimed to bring clarity, memorability, and a vintage feel to the DAP Spackling line. I also set out to design a unique yet simple label framework that could be used seamlessly across SKUs and stand out on a crowded shelf.
